What this lesson shows
Dots appear in a dice pattern and in a ten frame. A full row is 5, so 5 and 2 more is 7: say how many without counting each dot.

Helping at home
Cover each box, then show it for a moment and cover it again. Your kid says how many, then says how they saw it: "5 and 2 more." Then they write the number.
