Counting by tens to 100

What this lesson shows

Rows of 10 dots, counted by tens: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60. Each row is ten more, and ten rows make 100.

The worked example

The lesson works this one step by step: 6 rows of 10. Then your kid tries one like it on paper.

The steps

  1. Each row is 10
  2. Touch one row at a time
  3. Say 10, 20, 30
  4. Ten rows make 100

Helping at home

Read each box aloud. Your kid touches one row at a time and says 10, 20, 30, then writes the last number. Count by tens to 100 together at bedtime.

If your kid gets stuck

Each row is 10. Touch a row and say the next ten.

Watch it with Lux
